Women for Sale
A display in a San Francisco nearby mall exhibited seven young ladies with prices attached to all their bodies. The displays, a part of a plan by the Doing work Group Against Human Trafficking, sought to focus on the issue of human trafficking and to increase awareness of the problem. The advertising featured the women’s ages, weight, elevation, and other measurements. They also included their countries of arrival and sexuality. In the process, the women’s tales and the do the job of the performers were delivered to light.
An assembly called “Women for Sale” was created by the Task Induce on Human Trafficking in Sweden, as part of a campaign to build consumption of sexual offerings a criminal offense. The installation was an interactive unit installation, which shown real ladies and their prices with all the details they could provide: level, weight, and measurements. The aim was to raise awareness of this kind of practice and also to collect enough signatures to pressure the ministry to take action.
The women on display in the set up were available in the store’s window with price tags and details of the height, pounds, and other measurements. The prices of this women were submitted next with their photos, and the price tags included their region of origin. The unit installation aimed to increase awareness about the problem of human trafficking and to collect enough validations to make this a crime.
